Professional Beauty Association Declares VAN MICHAEL SALON NAHA 19 Finalist in four separate categories.
The Professional Beauty Association’s 19th annual North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) was pleased to nominate Daniel Holzberger with the NAHA for his exceptional work in the Avant Garde, Hairdresser and Salon team categories.Announcing a total of 50 finalists in 12 categories, NAHA is known as the pinnacle of hairstyling competitions in North America, where only the top stylists and leaders in the beauty industry are recognized for their talent and skill. The 12 winners for NAHA 2008 will be announced during the star-studded Awards Ceremony on July 13, at 8:00pm in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.
This year's finalists produced some of the finest work ever seen in 19 years of competition and they should be thrilled with their Break into Fame! “I love what I do and it is a tremendous honor to be in the running for this prestigious award,” says Holzberger. “Not only am I up for two awards, but our whole team at Van Mihcael is in the running for Team of the year and Salon of the year."
NAHA entries went through a rigorous judging process involving a select panel of internationally renowned super stylists and top beauty editors from consumer and trade magazines. This year NAHA received over 600 entries from licensed beauty professionals around the continent, but only the best were chosen to be one of the 60 NAHA finalists. Judges included stylists such as James Morrison, Gary Sunderland, Sally Hershberger and Jamie Carroll and beauty editors from CosmoGirl!, People, Modern Salon and Salon City, to name a few.
Victoria Jackson, most notably known as a Saturday Night Live cast member, will bring her cutting wit and charm to the NAHA 19 Awards Ceremony on July 13, 2008 as emcee. The evening will kick off with a Red Carpet Reception at 6:30pm followed by the Awards Ceremony at 8:00pm. Special artistic presentations by NAHA 2007 Fashion Forward winner Veronica Bessey, sponsored in part by TIGI, and NAHA 2006 Master Stylist winner Heather Wenman will round out the night.
